Consistent truncations and dualities

چکیده
Recent progress in generalised geometry and extended field theories suggests a deep connection between consistent truncations dualities, which is not immediately obvious. A prime example Scherk-Schwarz reductions double theory, have been shown to be one-to-one correspondence with Poisson-Lie T-duality. Here we demonstrate that this relation only the tip of iceberg. Currently, most general known classes T-dualities (excluding mirror symmetry) are based on dressing cosets. But as discuss, they can further even larger class We prove latter give rise for ansatz constructed systematically. Hence, pave way many new examples truncations. The arising structures result covariant tensors more than two derivatives argue how might key understand beyond leading derivative level.

On consistent truncations in N = 2∗ holography
Although Pilch-Warner (PW) gravitational renormalization group flow [1] passes a number of important consistency checks to be identified as a holographic dual to a largeN SU(N) N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theory, it fails to reproduce the free energy of the theory on S, computed with the localization techniques. This disagreement points to the existence of a larger dual gravitational consistent ...
متن کاملThe AdS - CFT correspondence , consistent truncations and gauge invariance
We give arguments for a conjecture made in a previous paper, that one has to use only the gauged sugra action for the calculation of correlators of certain operators via the AdS-CFT correspondence. The existence of consistent truncations implies that the massive modes decouple, and gauged supergravity is sufficient for computing n-point functions of CFT operators coupled to the massless (sugra)...

At the level of the bosonic fields, we construct consistent Kaluza–Klein reductions of D = 11 supergravity on Σ3 × S, where Σ3 = H/Γ, S/Γ or R/Γ where Γ is a discrete group of isometries. The result is the bosonic content of an N = 2 D = 4 gauged supergravity with a single vector multiplet and two hypermultiplets, whose scalar fields parametrise SU(1, 1)/U(1)×G2(2)/SO(4). When Σ3 = H/Γ the D = ...
متن کاملConsistent supersymmetric Kaluza–Klein truncations with massive modes
We construct consistent Kaluza–Klein reductions of D = 11 supergravity to four dimensions using an arbitrary seven-dimensional Sasaki–Einstein manifold. At the level of bosonic fields, we extend the known reduction, which leads to minimal N = 2 gauged supergravity, to also include a multiplet of massive fields, containing the breathing mode of the Sasaki– Einstein space, and still consistent wi...
متن کاملConsistent Superalgebraic Truncations from D=5, N=5 Supergravity
We study a novel five-dimensional, N=5 supergravity in the context of Lie superalgebra SU(5/2). The possible successive superalgebraic truncations from N=5 theory to the lower supersymmetric N=4,3,2, and 1 supergravity theories are systematically analyzed as a sub-superalgebraic chain of SU(5/2)⊃ SU(4/2) ⊃ SU(3/2) ⊃ SU(2/2) ⊃ SU(1/2) by using the Kac-Dynkin weight techniques.
